Rugs have long been part of our cultural history. During Holy week, religious orders decorate the streets of Guatemala with rugs made from colored sawdust, fruit, vegetables, flowers. Through rug hooking we continue this tradition of rug making. Our rugs are unique pieces of art reflective of Maya Culture. They are made from 100% recycled clothing sourced directly in our communities. The artist takes her design inspirations from the symbols and decorative motifs found in traditional Maya clothing. These one-of-a-kind, deeply cultural rugs are sought by designers and collectors all over the world.
