Collection: María Ignacia Vicente Jocol

ARTIST

Ignacia has been a Multicolores artist since 2013.

Her favorite part of being an artist at Multicolores is engaging in the process of designing and blending colors. Through her designs, she finds a medium to convey her emotions, capturing her various moods. When combining colors, she envisions the vibrant spectrum she can conjure from a mere pile of fabric.

She draws inspiration from “Güipiles”, deriving geometric designs, as well as from belts, traditions like Holy Week, and the natural world. In nature, she finds sources of creativity, including flowers and more.

Ignacia takes pride in her personal growth. She has flourished through the training programs she has participated in, even though it can sometimes be challenging due to her familial responsibilities. Nonetheless, she remains committed to seizing every opportunity and expresses gratitude for the chance she has within the realm of Multicolores.

“For me and my family, Multicolores represents unconditional support and a blessing. It’s an organization that aids our growth through diverse opportunities and programs, facilitating the development of essential skills.”
