Dear Friends,

Multicolores has always been about empowering indigenous women, celebrating art, and creating lasting change - and today we are thrilled to share a leadership transition that reflects those very values.

  • Forging New Opportunities

Since co-founding Multicolores, Cheryl Conway-Daly has been an unwavering champion of our mission. Her vision, dedication and deep belief in the power of women-led creativity have helped shape this organization into what it is today. Thanks to her leadership, we have built a strong foundation, grown our impact, and fostered a movement that transforms lives through art, healthcare and wellness programs, and economic empowerment.

Now, in a move that supports our vision, Cheryl will be transitioning into a new role as Chief Development Officer, which she helped envision and design. In this key role she will continue to guide and deepen relationships with our key stakeholders, explore new partnerships, expand our branding and communications efforts, and cultivate new opportunities for Multicolores. Cheryl will also continue to oversee our U.S. office.

  • Welcoming our New Executive Director, Reyna Pretzantzin Chipix

In a testament to our shared belief in the power of local leadership we are honored to announce that Reyna Pretzantzin Chipix will become the next Executive Director of Multicolores. As one of Multicolores' co-founders, Reyna has been at the heart of Multicolores since the beginning. She has a deep understanding of our artist's communities, fluency in the languages of our work - both literally and figuratively - and a belief in the creative potential of Maya women. Reyna's knowledge of craft-work has helped establish Multicolores as an innovative leader in the international market for textile folk arts. We have no doubt that her vision will continue to take Multicolores to new heights.

  • Why This Matters

Elevating talented, indigenous leaders in Guatemala ensures that the people from the communities we serve are both beneficiaries and decision-makers and speaks to the very core of our values.

With Reyna leading in Guatemala and Cheryl advancing Multicolores' strategic partnerships, we are building the strongest possible foundation for growth, sustainability, and impact. One that will ensure that our artists and programs continue to grow and thrive.
