Traditional Huipil Wall Hanging

"The huipil designs are inspired by the traditional clothing from different regions of Guatemala, also representing the significant colors of each community."

This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Melina Yol Chiquitó, memb.

Materials:

• The base is made of cream-colored cotton.
• The huipiles are stitched using cotton and lustrina threads. 
• The border is made of recycled indigo 'corte' fabric, with a system of five loops made from recycled 'corte randa' (trimming). 
• The back features are created with patches of recycled fabrics from paca. 

Made in Guatemala.
