"Costumes: The design is inspired by the traditional costumes of various Guatemalan communities."

This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Micaela Fabiola Aguilar García and Ramona Lucía Tzunún García, members of the Totonicapán embroidery group.

Hand embroidered wall hanging measures 40 x 48 inches.

Materials:

• The base is made of recycled indigo 'corte'.
• The costumes are stitched with colorful cotton threads.
• It features a hanging system of six loops made from recycled traditional 'fajas' (belts), and the back is patched with different recycled fabrics from paca.

Made in Guatemala.
