"Embroidered huipil design that represent the traditional dress of Sumpango, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala."

This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Melina Yol Chiquitó , member of the Sumpango embroidery group. The embroidery is done in a variety of stitches in lavenders, pinks and purples. The design is influenced by the traditional Maya women's blouse. Beautiful on the couch or the bed.

Materials

The pillow cloth is handwoven traditional recycled indigo fabric (corte) with subtle blue stripes. The embroidery is done with a variety of threads and stitches. There is a hidden zipper on the back side allowing for easy washing. Pillow insert is not included.

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
