"Embroidered designs of birds in geometric patterns that represent the nature of Guatemala and its traditional customes."

This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Flora Tejaxún Chuy, member of the Sumpango embroidery group.

    The embroidery is done in a variety of multicolored stitches. The design is a combination of different size and types of birds on a deep indigo fabric. Beautiful on the couch or the bed.

    Materials

    The pillow cloth is handwoven traditional recycled indigo fabric (corte) with subtle blue stripes. The embroidery is done with a variety of threads and stitches. There is a hidden zipper on the back side allowing for easy washing. Pillow insert is not included.

    Care

    Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
