This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Flora Tejaxún Chuy, a member of the Sumpango, Sacatepéquez embroidery group.  The design is crafted with cotton thread and framed with recycled 'corte' fabric in color, adorned with pom-poms hand-made from wool.

Materials

The base is made of handwoven traditional recycled indigo corte (cloth).
The design is embroidered with cotton and lustrina thread (embroidery floss) and framed with a colorful recycled traditional coth. The back is lined with recycled colored corte fabric.

Care

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
