This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Thelma Esperanza Cubur Solloy de Sec, member of the Sumpango embroidery group.

Featuring flowers and leaves embroidered in cotton thread, this piece is bordered with recycled fabric adorned with a “cut” print. The deep background allows the colors and shapes to stand out beautifully. In addition to being a table runner, it makes a stunning wall hanging or decorative accent at the foot of a bed.

Materials

The base is made of handwoven traditional recycled indigo corte (cloth).
The design is embroidered with cotton and lustrina thread (embroidery floss) and framed with a colorful recycled traditional coth. The back is lined with recycled colored corte fabric.

Care

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
