This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Rosa Lidia Cubur Solloy, a member of the Sumpango embroidery group.

Crafted with cotton thread embroidery, this floral and leaf design is framed by recycled fabric showcasing a traditional “cut” pattern. The rich dark background brings depth and vibrancy to the colors, making it a versatile decorative piece that can be used as a table runner, wall hanging, or bed accent.

Materials

The base is made of handwoven traditional recycled indigo corte (cloth).
The design is embroidered with cotton and lustrina thread (embroidery floss) and framed with a colorful recycled traditional coth. The back is lined with recycled colored corte fabric.
