This work of art was designed and crafted by Cipriana Garcia Ajpop, member of the Totonicapán embroidery group. This piece is unique and the design is the result of the artist’s creative vision.

This design draws inspiration from the rich tradition of Guatemalan folk dances, incorporating masks and maracas as central motifs. Crafted with cotton thread embroidery and bordered with recycled fabric showcasing a traditional “corte” pattern, it features a light background that enhances the colors and decorative shapes. Whether styled on a table, hung on a wall, or draped across the foot of a bed, it brings culture, artistry, and warmth to any space.
