This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Juana Ajcot Chavajay, member of the Santiago Atitlán embroidery group.

Inspired by Guatemala’s traditional dances, this design features masks and maracas iconic elements that play an important role in these cultural celebrations. Embroidered with cotton thread and framed with recycled fabric featuring a traditional “corte” print, the piece is set against a soft, pale background that beautifully highlights its vibrant colors and intricate details. Versatile and eye-catching, it can be used as a table runner, displayed as wall art, or placed at the foot of a bed
