This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Simeona Lucía Juárez Yax, a member of the Totonicapán embroidery group.

This design is inspired by Sumpango, Sacatepéquez, home to Guatemala’s famous giant kite festival. Featuring soothing pastel colors, it adds a subtle touch of color and artistry to any corner of your living room, bedroom, or office.

Materials

The pillow cloth is handwoven traditional recycled indigo fabric (corte) with subtle blue stripes. The embroidery is done with a variety of threads and stitches. There is a hidden zipper on the back side allowing for easy washing. Pillow insert is not included.

Care

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
