This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Micaela Fabiola Aguilar García, member of the Totonicapán embroidery group.

Inspired by Guatemala’s rich birdlife, this embroidery features a soft, light background that beautifully showcases the birds’ vivid colors and intricate feather details. The delicate design adds warmth and character to any room, whether displayed on a sofa or spread across a bed.

Materials

The pillow cloth is handwoven traditional recycled indigo fabric (corte) with subtle blue stripes. The embroidery is done with a variety of threads and stitches. There is a hidden zipper on the back side allowing for easy washing. Pillow insert is not included.

Care

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
