This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Flora Tejaxún Chuy, member of the Sumpango embroidery group.

Inspired by the remarkable diversity of birds found in Guatemala, this embroidery features a soft, pale background that beautifully highlights their vibrant colors and intricate feather details. It looks stunning draped over a sofa or spread across a bed.

Materials

The pillow cloth is handwoven traditional recycled indigo fabric (corte) with subtle blue stripes. The embroidery is done with a variety of threads and stitches. There is a hidden zipper on the back side allowing for easy washing. Pillow insert is not included.

Care

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
