This work of art was designed and hand-stitched by Marta Sulema Elizabet Socón Sacuj de Solis, member of the Patanatic embroidery group.

Inspired by Guatemala’s rich variety of birdlife, this embroidery features colorful birds set against a deep blue background that makes every detail stand out. It looks beautiful draped over a sofa or layered across a bed.

Materials

The pillow cloth is handwoven traditional recycled indigo fabric (corte) with subtle blue stripes. The embroidery is done with a variety of threads and stitches. There is a hidden zipper on the back side allowing for easy washing. Pillow insert is not included.

Care

Spot clean with mild soap and lay flat to dry.
