Like a botanical garden frozen in rich indigo thread, this bag is a living tribute to Guatemala’s vibrant landscapes. Hand-embroidered by artist Felix Felisa Velasco Castro de Gutiérrez, brilliant songbirds dart between lush petals and winding vines, each motif stitched with remarkable depth and texture against dark denim.

Felix transforms tradition into wearable poetry, just pure artistic instinct guiding every needlestroke. Generously sized with sturdy shoulder straps, it’s built to hold your daily essentials while carrying the warmth and soul of master craftsmanship.

Felix Felisa Velasco Castro de Gutiérrez

Her favorite aspect of being an artist at Multicolores is sketching her designs. She enjoys the moment when her creations are already on the fabric, and she delights in the process of selecting and combining colors before beginning with the embroidery.

She draws inspiration from landscapes, traditional costumes, traditions, Guatemalan culture, nature, as well as the art and customs of each community.

Felisa feels proud now that her work has improved, and she enjoys when others admire what she does and value it because it’s made with a lot of effort.

“Multicolores is a great support for women. I feel that the name represents the colors of Guatemala; it’s an opportunity to learn new things. It’s an association that helps recycle and is conscious of environmental matters.”
